Privacy Policy

Tasted Table ("we", "us") is a private space for families to preserve recipes, stories, photos, and voice recordings. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, and authentication identifiers (Google, Apple, or email/password).
• Family content you create: recipes, ingredients, instructions, photos, voice recordings, comments, and memorial profiles.
• Cookbook membership: who is invited to which cookbook and their role (owner, contributor, viewer).
• Subscription & payment data: processed by Stripe (web), Apple (iOS), or Google (Android). We never see full card numbers.
• Usage data: anonymous analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand how the app is used.
• Device permissions you grant: microphone (voice recordings), camera (recipe scanner), and photo library (uploading recipe and cookbook photos).

2. How we use it

• To operate your family cookbook and share access with invited members.
• To process subscriptions and printed-cookbook orders.
• To send transactional email (invites, receipts, password resets).
• To improve product quality through aggregated analytics.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your family content to train AI models.

3. Sharing

Family content is visible only to members of the cookbook the owner has invited. We share data with service providers solely to operate the service:

• Lovable Cloud (database, storage, authentication)
• Stripe (web subscription billing and printed cookbook payments)
• Apple App Store / Google Play (mobile subscription billing, when applicable)
• Lulu (print-on-demand cookbook fulfillment)
• Resend / email provider (transactional email)
• Google Analytics 4 (anonymous usage)

4. Your rights

• Access & export: contact us to request a copy of your data.
• Delete your account: sign in and visit Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile and, if you are a paying owner, ends family access to cookbooks you own.
• Email opt-out: every non-essential email contains an unsubscribe link.

5. Data retention

We retain your content as long as your account is active. After account deletion, content is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records related to printed cookbook orders).

6. Children

Tasted Table is intended for adults preserving family memories. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Parents and guardians manage what is added on behalf of younger family members.

7. Security

Family content is stored in private, access-controlled buckets. All traffic is TLS-encrypted. We use industry-standard authentication and apply database-level row security so that one family cannot see another family's content.
