Family Recipe Challenge — contest rules

• Open to anyone 18 or older with a valid email address.
• One contestant per email address. Families may each submit their own entries.
• Tasted Table employees and immediate family members are not eligible to win prizes.
• Where prohibited by local law, the contest is void.

Each month follows the same structure:

• Submission period: Entries must be submitted before the first day of the contest month. For example, the July Challenge accepts submissions through June 30 at 11:59 PM.
• Voting period: The full contest month (e.g. July 1 – July 31).
• Judging period: The first ten days of the following month (e.g. August 1 – August 10).
• Winner announcement: On the tenth day of the following month (e.g. August 10).

• Each entry must include a recipe, a family story behind it, your name, and a valid email.
• Photos are optional but strongly encouraged.
• You must own or have permission to share the recipe, story, and photo you submit.
• Entries must be original to your family or clearly credited. Plagiarized content will be removed.
• A maximum of three entries per email address per monthly challenge.

• Voting is one vote per email address per recipe per month.
• Voters may vote for as many different recipes as they like.
• Vote counts are private. Only contestants see their own totals via a private dashboard link.
• Email verification may be added during the voting period to protect contest integrity.

Tasted Table monitors voting activity for unusual patterns including bots, vote-buying, disposable email services, and coordinated abuse. We reserve the right at our sole discretion to invalidate suspicious votes, disqualify entries, and remove contestants without notice or refund. Decisions are final.

1. At the close of voting, the ten entries with the most community votes become the monthly Top 10 finalists.
2. During the judging period, the Tasted Table editorial team selects one monthly winner from those finalists based on the story, recipe craft, and the spirit of family legacy.
3. The selected winner is contacted by email and announced publicly on the announcement date.

Monthly Winner receives:

• A Lifetime Tasted Table Family Membership
• Featured placement on the Tasted Table homepage
• Feature across Tasted Table social media
• Automatic entry into the Annual Family Recipe Championship

Annual Grand Prize:

• $1,000 cash prize
• A professionally printed family cookbook
• Family Recipe of the Year recognition

Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash equivalent except where explicitly noted. Tax obligations are the responsibility of the winner.

By submitting an entry you grant Tasted Table a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and adapt your recipe, family story, and photos on the Tasted Table website, in marketing materials, on social media, and in printed collections, with attribution to you and your family. You retain ownership of your recipe and story.

• Email addresses collected from entrants and voters are stored separately from Tasted Table user accounts.
• If you opt in during submission or voting, we will email you contest updates and occasional family recipe inspiration.
• Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe.
• We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
